Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote tool requires six pieces of information: your gender, birth date, general health status, tobacco use, how much coverage you want, and what term length. That is all that is needed to get rates from carriers. Your name, address, and medical details are only requested if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They are the rates each carrier shows for the health class you picked in the quote tool. Once you apply, the carrier does underwriting and may confirm your class, move you to a better one, or place you in a different one. That becomes your actual rate. Nothing here is a guarantee or an offer of insurance.
What happens when I click Apply?
You provide your name, and we generate an application based on the quote you selected. It opens on the carriers' secure system with your answers already filled in. You can pause and pick up later, and you sign online. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agency (License 0B75129), manages the whole application.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on the carrier, the coverage amount, and what you tell them. Some carriers can make an immediate decision for the right applicant; others need time. Each quote on the page will say whether an exam is required, might be required, or is not needed.
Is a longer term better?
Pick a term that matches how long your family would need the income: years with a mortgage, years until kids are independent, years a business loan is outstanding. Longer terms mean higher monthly cost but you are protected longer with the same rate. You can compare all options from 10 to 30 years side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool never asks for contact information, we do not sell or pass along any information about visitors, and our tracking is cookieless and does not follow you to other sites. Go to the privacy page for a complete list of what we gather and which services use it.
